The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation enables product-specific ecodesign and information requirements across a broad range of physical goods placed on the EU market.

2025–2030 priority areas
The Commission working plan prioritises iron and steel, aluminium, textiles/apparel, furniture, tyres and mattresses, alongside energy-related products and horizontal work such as repairability and recycled content for electrical and electronic equipment.
Planning signal, not a universal deadline: inclusion in a working plan does not by itself mean every product in that category already has a mandatory DPP.
Why exporters should prepare early
Non-EU manufacturers may need to provide structured product and supply-chain data to EU customers and importers. The lowest-cost preparation step is to standardise identifiers, materials, supplier evidence and compliance documents before a product-specific measure becomes applicable.
